कोरोना महामारी के चलते लॉक डाउन ने देश के सभी वर्गों को बुरी तरह प्रभावित किया है जिसमे सबसे अधिक प्रभावित होने वाला वर्ग जनजातीय समुदाय का है जिसे दैनिक आवश्यकताओं के लिए बाज़ार पर निर्भर रहने से सर्वाधिक मुसीबतों का सामना करना पड़ा है। बरसाती कृषि पर निर्भर रहने वाले लघु तथा सीमान्त किसानों की आर्थिक स्थिति मजबूत नहीं होने से वे महंगे बीज खरीद नहीं पाता और स्थानीय रूप से अनुकूलित विविध फसलों और किस्मों की गुणवत्ता वाले बीजों की समय पर उपलब्धता नहीं होती जिससे उन्हें खेती करने में परेशानी उठानी पड़ती है।
